The Shrinking Dream

You had huge, inspiring dreams when you were a kid.  You wanted to be an astronaut, or the president.  You wanted to live in a big house with a pool.
As you grew older you changed your dreams to wanting that cool sports car or to be rich.  Then we hit adulthood.  Wow, what a big mistake! All of a sudden we started to shrink our dreams.  We start to rationalize why we done need a big house (taxes cost to much,  it takes a lot of work to have a pool), or why a sports car is impractical (I can't put a car seat in that). We talk more about the bills we have to pay and the food we need to buy. We turn away from building a bigger dream and we shrink it down to our INCOME. That is the reverse of living.  We have been told from the day we get into middle school, hell, I'm sure it started in grade school, that a good education is a requirement to get a job so you can still be poor for the next 50-60 years.  We are not directly told that are dreams are to big, but what we are told is "start out small and work your way up". That is the sentence of death!  Start out small??  Do you think Steve Jobs started small, or Bill Gates?  Telling you to start out small is the same thing as telling you to shrink those dreams because you don't have a chance!  You should never start out small. Bigger is better.  Plant a garden, not a flower. Stop shrinking your dreams to your income, grow your income to match your dreams.  The bigger the dreams the bigger the opportunity will arise to achieve them.

Love Ya
